“Golden W" Spirit Award of Excellence

We are pleased to offer the "Golden W" Spirit Award of Excellence, awarded to the full-time undergraduate student who has excelled in extra-curricular activities and has shown leadership for the benefit of students at the University of Windsor.

  • Must be a currently enrolled full-time undergraduate student at the University of Windsor.

  • Please provide a statement, no more than 500 words, justifying why the nominee deserves the "Golden W" Award of Excellence. Focus on the nominee’s exceptional involvement in extra-curricular activities and their demonstrated leadership that has significantly benefitted the student body at the University of Windsor. Emphasize instances of leadership, commitment to community, and any initiatives that have enhanced the student experience or university environment.

  • Extra-curricular Excellence

    • Detail the extra-curricular activities the nominee has been involved in, including any clubs, organizations, sports, or volunteer work within or related to the University of Windsor.

    • Highlight the nominee’s level of involvement, responsibilities, and achievements in these activities.


    Leadership Contributions

    • Provide specific examples of how the nominee has shown leadership within these extra-curricular activities. Focus on moments where their leadership directly led to positive outcomes or improvements for the student community.

    • Mention any leadership roles they have held and the impact of their leadership on the groups or initiatives they were part of.

President’s Award of Excellence - Student of the Year

We are pleased to offer the Presidents Award of Excellence - Student of the Year, awarded to a full-time undergraduate student who has contributed unselfishly to the enhancement of campus life and exhibited the spirit of being an outstanding member of the University of Windsor community.

  • Must be a currently enrolled full-time undergraduate student at the University of Windsor.

  • Please provide a statement, no more than 500 words, justifying why the nominee is deserving of the Student of the Year Award. Highlight their unselfish contributions to enhancing campus life and how they embody the spirit of an outstanding member of the University of Windsor community. Describe specific instances of service, leadership, community involvement, and other activities that have positively impacted the university environment and its members.

  • Enhancement of Campus Life

    • Describe the nominee’s initiatives, projects, or activities that have contributed to enhancing campus life. Detail their roles, the scope of their involvement, and the outcomes of these initiatives.

    • Highlight how these contributions have made a positive difference in the campus community, including any improvements to student welfare, campus culture, or the university environment.

  • Must be a currently enrolled full-time undergraduate student at the University of Windsor.

  • Please provide a statement, no more than 500 words, explaining why you believe the nominee deserves the First Year Student Award. Your response should highlight the nominee's outstanding contributions to student life during their first year. Consider including examples of leadership, community involvement, initiatives, or any activities that positively impacted student life on campus. Focus on achievements, behaviours, and the impact of these actions on their peers and the broader student community.

  • Leadership and Initiative

    • Describe any leadership roles the nominee has taken on, including any clubs, teams, or student organizations they have led or significantly contributed to.

    • Mention any initiatives the nominee has started or been a major part of, highlighting how these efforts have enhanced student life.
