My perspective on student governance is shaped by experience in faculty-level decision-making, elected student representation, and campus leadership roles.
As a part of the Faculty of Science Council, I engaged with department heads to discuss faculty priorities, including budgeting and internal operations. This helped me gain insights into responsible financial governance.
As a Computer Science representative, I served on the Curriculum Committee, advocating for student academic interests to ensure student voices are reflected in educational planning. This strengthened my ability to analyze institutional issues while ensuring student perspectives are reflected in decisions.
Beyond academics, I serve as Lead Student Ambassador at UWindsor, representing campus to prospective students globally. Through UWindsor Let’s Talk Science, I support STEM outreach by delivering interactive activities in local schools and delivering volunteer training. As VP Events for the Muslim Student Association, I fostered inclusive campus engagement by organizing cross-cultural events.
These experiences shaped my perspective on student governance as one rooted in responsible financial stewardship, transparency, and inclusive representation.

One of the most important issues I care about is preserving strong student governance while adapting to changes such as Bill 33. Student representation must remain transparent and student-driven. I would advocate for financial systems and reporting practices that protect student interests and maintain trust within the union.
Supporting student services is another priority. I would advocate for responsible oversight of services such as the health/dental plan and bus pass to ensure accessibility and efficiency.
I am also passionate about strengthening student life by improving the support system for student clubs and societies. I would work to streamline funding processes, improve transparency in funding decisions, and expand opportunities for student groups to access financial guidance.
Additionally, I would promote financial literacy workshops to help student organizations develop financial skills.
Overall, my goal is to protect student services, support student communities, and ensure responsible stewardship of student resources while amplifying student voices within the University.
I aim to approach these priorities with transparency, efficiency, and a student-first mindset when working with committees and stakeholders.

Accountability, transparency, and fairness will guide my leadership as VPFO. I will ensure all financial decisions are well-documented and aligned with UWSA bylaws and Board governance.
To keep students informed, I will provide accessible budget summaries and regular updates on financial decisions. Transparency is not only about sharing numbers, but ensuring students understand how their resources are being used. I will actively seek student voices by maintaining consistent office hours and establishing monthly check-ins with club executives to review funding processes and promote equitable access to resources.
Fair decision-making requires consistency and integrity. I will evaluate funding requests using clear criteria, apply policies uniformly, and prioritize long-term financial sustainability while protecting essential student services.
As principal signing authority, I will uphold ethical oversight, clear communication, and responsible stewardship of student funds. I am committed to leading with integrity and transparency.

Student governance is critical in shaping meaningful and supportive student experiences. I believe effective student leadership goes beyond representation; it requires responsibility and a commitment to turning student concerns into actionable outcomes that improve campus life.
Effective student leadership is built on accessibility, accountability, and purposeful decision-making. Students deserve leaders who listen carefully, communicate transparently, and ensure governance decisions reflect the collective interest of all members. Leadership should not operate in isolation but should actively engage students in shaping policies/services that affect them.
I am running because I want to help strengthen student governance by promoting responsible financial and operational management while keeping students at the center of every decision.
If elected, I will work to enhance collaboration across student groups, improve clarity in financial communication, and support sustainable funding practices.
My goal is to help build a governance environment defined by trust, integrity, and forward-looking leadership. I am committed to serving students with clarity of purpose, fairness in action, and dedication to meaningful impact.
