As a FAHSS student, I bring a creative, empathetic, and student focused perspective to governance. Being part of a faculty rooted in critical thinking and expression has shaped how I approach leadership, with openness, reflection, and a strong commitment to equity. I understand that FAHSS students come from diverse disciplines, and each program deserves thoughtful and visible representation.
Through my leadership roles in clubs and student initiatives, I’ve learned how to listen actively, collaborate across communities, and advocate clearly for student needs. I value transparency, accessibility, and consistent communication. If elected, I will prioritize making students feel heard, supported, and genuinely represented within FAHSS and student governance.

One of the biggest issues facing students is accessibility, whether that’s mental health support, academic resources, or clear communication about opportunities. Many students feel overwhelmed or unsure where to go for help, especially while balancing school, work, and finances. As a FAHSS Rep, I would advocate for clearer communication between faculty and students, stronger promotion of existing services, and consistent student feedback channels. I will actively bring student concerns to UWSA discussions and push for practical, student-informed solutions that improve support, transparency, and overall student experience.

I would approach accountability by making sure students always know where I stand and why. If I campaign on certain priorities, I will actively work toward them and be upfront about progress or challenges along the way. For transparency, I would break down decisions in simple, clear language so students understand what is happening and how it affects them. I would regularly ask for input through direct conversations and informal check-ins, not just surveys. When making decisions, I would consider different perspectives within FAHSS and focus on what benefits the broader student community fairly and ethically.

I believe student governance should play a meaningful role in shaping a campus where students feel heard, respected, and involved. It should serve as a strong bridge between students and the University, ensuring that policies and decisions reflect real student experiences. Effective leadership means being approachable, open-minded, and committed to advocacy that prioritizes fairness and impact. I’m motivated to run because I care about strengthening the FAHSS community and making students feel represented. I hope to contribute consistency, transparency, and a student-first perspective to UWSA, helping create a more connected, supportive, and engaging campus environment for everyone.
