Student Senate Representative

Isabella Francis

  • As a former Dance captain and special needs instructor, I’ve gained the qualities of a strong leader. I’ve learned patience, discipline and the importance of truly listening to my community and the people I work with. I am passionate about helping students better understand what’s happening around them and creating a transparent, connected campus where everyone feels heard and supported.

  • Transparency and mental health support are issues I care about very deeply. Students work hard to pay tuition and deserve to clearly understand where their money goes and how decisions are made. Accessibility to mental health resources matter a lot to me because it is not easy to balance school work with personal responsibilities and commitments outside of their studies.

  • If elected, I would share simple updates and summaries about senate decisions, answer any questions or concerns students may have and represent them by constantly bringing any feedback forward every opportunity I have. I truly want students to feel informed, included and understood on campus!

  • I think student governance is one of the most important aspects of any and every university. Nobody understands what the students need better than students themselves. I am motivated to run because I want the UWindsor community to feel more like a home and a place students want to be outside of simply showing up to lectures.
