As a University of Windsor alumni and a current Schulich medical on the Windsor campus, I bring a unique and well-rounded perspective to the Board of Directors. Having experiences student life at UWindsor firsthand, I understand both the strengths of our community and the areas that can be improved to better support students. During my undergraduate years, I held leadership positions in several campus clubs and societies, where I learned how collaboration, organization, and communication can make a big different in the student experience.
Now, as a medical student, I represent a group of individuals who share diverse paths but a common drive to make a difference. I deeply respect my peers at Schulich and take great pride in the opportunity to advocate for them. I want to ensure that our voices are heard within broader university discussions, especially with the unique academic and personal challenges that medical students face. By combining my experience as a University of Windsor alumni with my current role as a Schulich medical student, I will draw from both experiences to advocate for my peers and contribute meaningfully to the student community.

Students at the Schulich School of Medicine on the Windsor campus have a unique experience, being part of both the University of Western Ontario and the University of Windsor. This dual affiliation offers us valuable resources and opportunities, but it can also leave students feeling disconnected from the broader UWindsor community. I want to advocate for initiatives that strengthen our sense of belonging here through collaboration with student organizations and greater visibility in campus events.
In addition to fostering inclusion, I believe there is tremendous potential for increased interdisciplinary collaboration between Schulich students and research groups at UWindsor. The University has a strong foundation in health and biomedical sciences, and collaboration could benefit both medical students and researchers, encouraging innovation and shared learning.
At the board level, I would work to ensure that the unique needs of Schulich students are represented in university discussions, and that opportunities for integration, research, and community involvement are recognized. My goal is to help the Schulich medical students on the Windsor campus feel connected, supported, and proud to be part of the University of Windsor.

I plan to approach my role as a UWSA Director with the same values I am developing on my journey to becoming a physician. In medicine, accountability, transparency, and fair decision-making are essential working effectively with others. I believe these same principles apply to representing students. As a UWSA Director, I will prioritize open communication to ensure students are informed about and have a voice in the decisions that affect them.
I will apply my beliefs in listening to all perspectives before making decisions, leading with empathy, and advocating for others to my position as a UWSA Director, as I do as a medical student. I intend to apply the four core principles of medical ethics: autonomy, beneficence, non-maleficence, and justice, to my decision-making to my position on the Board of Directors. These values guide how I approach responsibility and fairness, and I will carry them into this role with the same integrity that I do in my path toward becoming a physician.

I believe the UWSA Board of Directors plays a critical role in shaping the student experience by serving as the connection between students and the administration. Our responsibility is to ensure that student voices are not only heard but also understood and acted upon in decision-making processes.
I want to be a part of this work because I am a proud University of Windsor alumni and want current students to have the same positive experience and make the special memories that I did during my time as an undergraduate student. I care deeply about representation, community, and student voice, and I see that UWSA shares these values. By contributing to this advocacy, I hope to help create a campus environment where students feel valued, supported, and empowered to succeed.
