Scholarships
The UWSA is offering $7,000 in scholarships and bursaries for the 2010/2011 academic year. There are over 30 scholarships available for for full-time undergraduate students valued at $250 each. These are divided amongst the faculties based on levels of enrollment.
Among the applicants, the UWSA will select the recipient of the Ron Ianni Outstanding Contribution to Student Life Scholarship, which is valued at $500 and based on involvement and contribution to campus life.
The UWSA will also select from the applicants the Earl Grant Outstanding Student Athlete Scholarship, which is valued at $500 as well.
Undergrad Scholarship Application Form
There are also 2 entrance scholarships available for incoming students who are coming directly out of high school, valued at $250 each. One is awarded to an outstanding male applicant and one to an outstanding female applicant.
The scholarships available are:
- Ron Ianni Outstanding Contribution to Student Life ($500)
- Earl Grant Outstanding Student Athlete ($500)
- Incoming Female/Male Student Scholarship ($250 each)
- Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (10 x $250 each)
- Faculty of Education (3 x $250 each)
- Faculty of Engineering (3 x $250 each)
- Faculty of Human Kinetics (3 x $250 each)
- Faculty of Law (3 x $250 each)
- Faculty of Nursing (3 x $250 each)
- Faculty of Science (4 x $250 each)
- Odette School of Business (4 x $250 each)
All UWSA scholarships are given out based on academic performance, extracurricular activities and community involvement. All are encouraged to apply.
Completed applications must be submitted to the UWSA Office no later than Monday, November 29th, 2010 at 5pm.
