WIndsor, ON, january 20, 2010: On Friday, February 26th, 2010, World University Services of Canada will be hosting their 4th Annual HIV/AIDS Awareness Gala: Benefit Burkina Faso at the University of Windsor, Ambassador Auditorium (CAW Student Centre) at 5:00pm. This event is to raise awareness and funds for the HIV/AIDS pandemic and is also a celebration of our international partnership with Burkina Faso in the fight against AIDS.
Dr. Anne-Marie Zajdlik, the founder of the Masai Centre and Bracelet of Hope Campaign will be the keynote speaker this year. She is a Canadian Doctor who founded and now directs the Masai Centre for Local, Regional and Global Health, in response to the growing numbers of HIV/AIDS patients in the Guelph area. Between 2005 to date, she has raised over a 1 million dollars towards the Tsepong Clinic in Lesotho, Africa.
Tickets will be sold in the CAW Student Centre. Student tickets are $25.00 (door $30.00) and non-student tickets are $30.00 (door $35.00). All tickets include dinner and raffle entry.
