FOOD BANK COORDINATOR

The Food Bank Coordinator will be responsible for running and maintaining the Canterbury College/Iona College North Campus Food Bank (from hereon known as the “food bank”).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Shall be responsible for holding regular office hours and ensuring that if need be, volunteers are available to staff the food bank;

Furthermore, office hours will include but are not limited to hours spent staffing the food bank; and,

A list of volunteers and their hours will be collected by the coordinator, and shared with the Iona College Office Manager, Sandi Rose; and,

The Food Bank Coordinator will be primarily responsible to Sandi Rose;

2. Shall be responsible for soliciting donations, such as running can drives and events and liaising with local businesses, churches and grocery stores;

3. Shall be responsible for advertising the services of the food bank;

4. Shall work with other similarly mandated clubs and initiatives at the University of Windsor;

5. Shall maintain a brief record of work done throughout the year, to be presented to the University of Windsor Students’ Alliance Council at the last regularly held meeting in the month of March.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Shall be responsible for maintaining the dedicated space at Iona College.

2009/2010 Food bank schedule was:

-Monday, 12:00PM-2:00PM (Except Holidays)
-Tuesday, 12:00PM-2:00PM
-Wednesday, 12:00PM-2:00PM
-Thursday, 12:00PM-2:00PM

2. Shall be responsible for maintaining the signage for the food bank

Applications are due on Friday, September 3rd @ 2:00PM
