Hip-Hop and Reggae Night Aims for Clean Slate – The Lance
We teamed up with the Nigerian Students Association to put together an awesome Hip Hop and Reggae Night!
‘Its got to be the vibes,’ said first-year engineering student Matt Kegan. ‘It puts you in a good mood, you know?’
With his friends, Kegan was waiting in a line where many seemed to share his enthusiasm. A Welcome Week event with a proven track record in its popularity, an influx of students drew to the Hip-hop and Reggae Night the evening of Sept. 8. The music was primed along with the air-horns and smoke machine during the penultimate party held inside the UWSA Tent. The night attracted a diverse array of campus members who were looking to dance to the modern and the classics, unwinding after what was officially the first day of classes.”
