Overview

The UWSA, on behalf of its members, negotiates a health and dental plan for those students who are not already covered under their own or their parent's benefit plans. This service is provided for students in order to reduce the costs of a benefit plan for students that are not already covered. In this way we use our collective strength in numbers to negotiate services students need to ensure a safe and healthy university experience. The policy coverage ceases August 31st, of each year. Students have the opportunity to opt-out of the plan if they can show proof of alternate coverage.

Opt-Out Information

To be eligible to opt outs you must be a full-time undergraduate student (including Law and Education students) registered in four (4) or more University of Windsor courses. You must already be covered under your own or your parents benefit plans. All health and dental opt out must be done online during the designated opt out period.

Fall Opt Out Period: September 1, 9am - September 30, midnight

Students will need the following information for registration:

  • full name and student number
