Integrating innovative thinking techniques through lateral puzzles, by challenging and deciphering your preconceptions.

Background:
Lateral thinking puzzles can stimulate a group of students and can help to boost your intellect. Innovators and inventors used lateral thinking puzzles to create new ideas and products for companies. Lateral thinking puzzles, unlike most puzzles, are inexact. In a sense, they are a cross between puzzles and storytelling. In each puzzle, some clues to a scenario are given, but the clues don't tell the full story. Your job is to fill in the details and complete the story. Obviously, there is usually more than one answer to any given puzzle, but, in general, only one solution is truly satisfying.

What do we do?
Lateral Minds will teach you to check your assumptions about any situation. You need to be open-minded, flexible and creative in your questioning and able to put lots of different clues and pieces of information together. Once you reach a viable solution you keep going in order to refine it or replace it with a better solution. This is lateral thinking!

Test yourself with these transforming exercises and satisfy your urge for resolution.

~ A man and his son are in a car accident. The father dies on the scene, but the child is rushed to the hospital. When he arrives the surgeon says, "I can't operate on this boy, he is my son!â How can this be?
